Description
This small community was settled by German pioneers in the 1800s. They celebrate with over 300 events in various locations with live music, street dancing, kindergarten rides and shows, food, arts and crafts, Biergarten, car show, Wiener dog races, Oktoberfest Olympics, golf tournament, military vehicle display, 5K and 10K races, Volkswalking, Polka dancing. Maibaum, Glockenspiel, and more. Some events have entry fees (purchase a wristband) and some are free. Daily Mass early each morning.
Parking: Two lots off Hwy 214. Parking, Trolley: $10 per day.
Round Trip Shuttle: Friday, Saturday: Portland to Woodburn to Mt Angel and Salem to Silverton to Mt Angel.
